STONEBRIDGE
Designed as a warm and welcoming family retreat, Stonebridge is a thoughtfully reimagined lake home nestled along the shores of Lake Glenville in Cashiers, North Carolina.
Originally purchased as new construction in 2020, the 6,000-square-foot property underwent a complete transformation. Working closely with MHK Architects, landscape architect Renee Byrd, and The Berry Group, the home was fully gutted, its footprint expanded, and its interiors re-envisioned to better reflect both its natural surroundings and the way the family lives and gathers.
The design and renovation process unfolded over approximately three and a half years, allowing for a highly intentional approach to every detail.
Throughout the home, the design emphasizes a strong connection to the outdoors. Floral-inspired textiles, a layered color palette drawn from the region’s seasonal shifts, and a curated mix of antiques bring warmth, character, and a sense of ease to each space.
The result is a lake getaway that feels both elevated and comfortable — refined without feeling precious — offering the family a place to unwind, entertain, and return to year after year.
